Mafauzy MOHAMED

Prof. Dr. Mafauzy Mohamed is a Professor of Medicine and Senior Consultant Endocrinologist at Universiti Sains Malaysia. He has held several leadership roles including Dean of Medicine, Director of Hospital, and Assistant Vice-Chancellor at the same institution. He obtained his M.B.B.S. from the University of Adelaide, M.R.C.P. (UK), and a Master of Medical Sciences from the University of Sheffield. He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians (Edinburgh) and recipient of the Legacy Award by the Malaysian Endocrine and Metabolic Society. Dr. Mafauzy is highly regarded for his work in diabetes, lipid disorders, and thyroid disease, having led over 110 research projects and contributed to major clinical trials such as TECOS, CANVAS, and SONAR. He has published extensively and played a key role in developing national and international clinical practice guidelines in endocrinology.
