Zulfitri 'Azuan MAT DAUD

Zulfitri 'Azuan Mat Daud's research interest are in the areas of clinical nutrition especially in renal nutrition and lipids metabolism. PhD research project focused on 'multifacated nutritional intervention' in chronic kidney disease patients undergoing hemodialysis. These interventions include supplementation with omega-3 fatty acids, hydrolyzed protein and vitamin E tocotrienols, aimed at improving various co-morbid condition associated with cardiovascular disease in this population. He also exploring 'metabolomics' approach, an xciting new post-genomics technology, to specifically identify alterations in the metabolites profiles following nutritional intervention.
