Ailyn Mae K. del Rio Department of Nutrition & Dietetics, University of Santo Tomas

A registered Nutritionist-Dietitian in the Philippines, she has over two decades of professional experience spanning clinical nutrition, food service management, academe, health and wellness, and the food manufacturing industry. She spent 10 years in clinical practice across five tertiary hospitals and had the distinguished honor of serving as the First Family Dietitian to former Philippine President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo. She has served as a consultant and guest lecturer, sharing her expertise through corporate, community, academic, print, online, television, and radio platforms to promote evidence-based nutrition and healthy lifestyle practices. A recipient of the STAR Teacher Award from the Consortium of the South in 2017, she has also mentored student teams to success in national culinary and research competitions. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nutrition and Dietetics from the University of Santo Tomas and her Master of Science in Clinical Nutrition from Philippine Women's University. She is currently an Assistant Professor and International Relations Coordinator at the University of Santo Tomas, one of the top universities in the Philippines and served as a Board Director of the Nutritionist-Dietitians' Association of the Philippines from 2021 to 2023.
