Nuts are a good source of unsaturated fats, protein, fibre, and a wide range of micronutrients and phytochemicals. Nut consumption has been associated with several health benefits such as the prevention and management of obesity and cardiometabolic diseases. This presentation will focus on the potential benefits of nuts on the cognitive function of older adults, the underlying mechanisms, and how these findings can be translated into dietetics practice to promote optimal cognitive performance during the ageing process.
