Soh Pheh Huang IMU University Senior Clinical Instructor and Registered Dietitian

Ms. Soh Pheh Huang is a Senior Clinical Instructor and Registered Dietitian at the Division of Nutrition, Dietetics and Food Science, IMU University with more than 14 years of experience in clinical practice and over 10 years in dietetics education and student mentorship. She has played an active role in shaping the learning journey of future dietitians through clinical supervision, practicum coordination, curriculum planning and experiential learning initiatives. She currently serves as the Coordinator of the Student-led Dietetics Centre (SDC) where she leads the planning and implementation of student-led services, community engagement projects and interprofessional learning activities that strengthen students’ competency, leadership, communication, and real-world practice skills. She is passionate about creating meaningful learning experiences that bridge classroom knowledge with practical application and professional development. As the Project Manager during the establishment of the SDC and now its Coordinator, Ms. Soh worked closely with a dedicated team of academic staff and student committees in the co-creation of the SDC masterplan and student-led learning model. Together, they developed strategies and initiatives integrating experiential learning, service delivery, peer learning and interdisciplinary collaboration to support the development of work-ready future dietitians. Under her coordination, the SDC has further expanded its initiatives in community outreach, teleconsultation services and student leadership development. She is also actively involved in dietetics practicum coordination, clinical teaching, curriculum innovation, and interprofessional learning activities with other healthcare disciplines. Ms. Soh was awarded the Malaysian Dietitians’ Association Outstanding Clinical Instructor Award in 2022 in recognition of her contribution to dietetics education and student mentorship.
