Dear Esteemed Delegates and Colleagues,
It is my great pleasure to welcome you to the 31st Malaysian Dietitian Association Conference 2025, which will take place on 21st to 22nd June 2025 at Berjaya Times Square Hotel, Kuala Lumpur.
This year’s theme, "Dietitians Embracing Change," represents the progress and adaptability required to keep pace with the evolving landscape of healthcare. Building on last year’s theme, "Opportunities and Diverse Roles in Dietetics," this year shifts our focus from exploring possibilities to taking action. It is a call to redefine how we practice, embrace new paradigms, and lead with innovation. The emphasis now is on applying Medical Nutrition Therapy (MNT) effectively and optimizing the Nutrition Care Process (NCP) to address the diverse needs of the populations we serve.
The registration of dietitians as Dietitian (DTN) under the Malaysian Allied Health Professions Council (MAHPC) further underscores the importance of accountability, professionalism, and quality in our work. This milestone challenges us to continuously enhance how we apply our expertise and refine our approaches to create impactful outcomes in clinical care, public health, and beyond.
This conference is a platform to learn, connect, and grow. With its carefully curated program—featuring engaging plenaries, interactive workshops, thought-provoking forums, insightful symposiums, and research presentations—it is designed to inspire and equip dietitians with the tools needed to embrace change and excel in their practice.
I encourage you to seize this opportunity to exchange ideas, foster collaborations, and take bold steps to advance our profession. Let us embrace change together and lead the way in shaping the future of dietetics. Thank you for being part of this exciting journey. I look forward to seeing all of you at the conference and wish you a truly enriching experience.
