Incorporating Technology into Dietetics Practice: This is How We Do It

In this digital age, it is not surprising that dietitians are using technology as an effective way to improve nutrition care and client engagement as well as to grow personally and professionally. Computers and smartphones are fast becoming the go-to devices used by dietitians every day. With wide internet coverage and easy accessibility to internet, many application programmes can be conveniently incorporated into dietetics practice. When they are being used rightfully, they can benefits the dietitians, their clients or even both. In this workshop, Georgen will explain on how to use web-based applications in building his career and enhancing his practices while KarFoo will focus on how mobile applications make his jobs fun, easy, engaging, yet evidenced based. At the same time, they will share some dietitian-friendly application programmes that they find it useful and also discuss the challenges and coping strategies in their journey incorporating technology into dietetics practice.
